From Kingston Ont.The Wolfe Island ferry terminal is located in downtown Kingston at the foot of Barrack Street, about 2 blocks east of City Hall. From here the ferry leaves for Wolfe Island about every hour (See schedule) and it is a 20 minute ride to Wolfe Island.
When you leave the ferry dock on Wolfe Island turn right onto the Main Street and then watch for the sign at the end of the street saying “Ferry to USA”. Here you will turn left on to HWY 95 and drive south for 11 KM (7 miles). HWY 95 ends at the ferry dock for USA.
The ferries’ schedules are synchronized so that there is no more than about a 5 minute wait for the next trip after you drive across the Island.
From Watertown NY
If you are traveling north on INS 81 take exit 46 at Watertown and turn left onto RT 12F.
Drive 2 miles to the intersection for RT 12E at Brownville. Turn right at the traffic light, go down a hill, “Paddy Hill”, across a bridge over the Black River. Just after crossing the bridge turn left onto 12E and continue for about 20 miles to Cape Vincent. Turn right onto the main street, “Broadway”, go 2 blocks and turn left onto James Street. The ferry dock is at the foot of James Street.
From Alexandria Bay NY
Follow RT 12E west for about 22 miles to Cape Vincent. Turn right at at James Street. The ferry dock is at the foot of James Street.
